My journey to midwifery began while working as an RN in labor & delivery. I graduated from Wichita State University in 2000 with my BSN and began working in labor and delivery. It was during my years as an RN that I realized I wanted to do more than just be there for women and their families during the childbirth process. Being a certified nurse midwife allows me to educate and empower women with the knowledge and tools they need to make individualized, informed decisions regarding their health across the lifespan.
I graduated with my Masters of Science in Nursing from Wichita State University and my Certificate in Nurse Midwifery from the University of Kansas Medical Center. I am Board Certified through the American Midwifery Certification Board (ACMB). I began my midwifery care in Hastings, Nebraska before joining Lincoln OB-GYN in 2015. I am able to provide care in both obstetrics and gynecology including preconception counseling, pregnancy, PAP smears, STD screening/testing, vaginal infections, and family planning.
