Ashia Ramsay is a Certified Nurse Midwife who believes that welcoming a new life into the world is one of the greatest privileges she could ask for. Before pursuing midwifery, Ashia spent six years as a NICU nurse, caring for the tiniest and most vulnerable patients through their first days of life. That experience gave her a clinical depth and a lasting respect for the strength of families, along with a firm belief that every birth deserves to be met with skill, patience, and genuine compassion.
Ashia’s path to midwifery reflects both academic rigor and a clear sense of purpose. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Nebraska Omaha in 2014, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Nebraska Methodist College in 2020, and her Doctorate of Nursing Practice with a specialty in Nurse Midwifery in 2025. Throughout her training, she developed a strong commitment to advancing BIPOC maternal health, perinatal mental health, and patient autonomy—advocating for care models where every individual feels informed, respected, and empowered in their own health decisions. She brings this same evidence-based, patient-centered approach to every family she serves.
Outside of her practice, Ashia is a new mother to her son, Arthur, and shares her life with her husband, Alan, and their five cats—Selkie, Puka, Bodach, Merrow, and Changeling. An avid reader and enthusiastic traveler, she enjoys exploring new places and cultures and trying foods from around the world. That same curiosity and warmth inform how she connects with patients, meeting each person exactly where they are.
